Want to know what the top Video Marketing Trends of 2021 will be? Here’s my insider perspective on the future of video marketing – and I should know, I’ve been in video marketing since the 90s! I’ve noticed lots of trends over the years, and this year the video trends reflect all of the change we’re seeing in our world. 

The average person watches 100 minutes of videos per day. That means there’s a lot of opportunities to be seen. You’re going to want to pay attention to these trends if you want your business to be a part of those 100 minutes.

I’m going to add a little note here that if you’re not currently using video for your business, you need to start there. There’s no point knowing the trends if you’re never going to implement them, right?

Trend 1: Fast and Furious. 

Our attention spans are a lot shorter these days. What does this mean? Quick or expiring videos are the best way to build the Know, Like, and Trust factor with audiences.

Trend 2: Get Creative. 

It’s critical to be creative not only in how you shoot your videos, but how and where you share them! Think differently about where your videos can be shared to generate more leads.

Trend 3: Make Your Videos Readable. 

With so many people on multiple screens, adding captions, subtitles and graphics to make your videos readable (even if the sound isn’t on) will really help you get more watches. If someone can look at your video without the sound and still be entertained, you’re doing it right!

More important than all these trends, is getting results from your videos. To do that, you need a strong and effective video marketing strategy.

Without strategy, trends won’t get you where you want to be.
