“Where should the story go in my video script?”

This is a question I got recently and it was a GOOD question. So, I thought I’d share the answer with you too.

Before we dive into where the story fits into your script, let’s take a step back and talk about WHY stories are so important.

Storytelling has a long history for a good reason. It helps us make a connection to a person, a community, or a cause. Stories have been used for oral history, to teach kids about morals, and to engage and entertain. Stories create connections. Storytelling actually activates a specific part of the brain. The same part of the brain that is responsible for storing memories.

So, when you share a story in your videos, not only are you increasing the connection with the viewer, you are also making yourself (or your video) more memorable. That’s a winning formula for any entrepreneur using video to grow their business!
