What Is the “C-Word” in Video?

A lot of people think that when it comes to video marketing, content is king. I don’t think so. I think we need to focus on another C-word, effective context in video. πŸ€”

I work with a lot of female entrepreneurs who come to me because they are struggling with video marketing. Some are struggling because they lack the confidence to get on camera – I have a lot of other videos for them. πŸ“Ί

This video is for those entrepreneurs who are struggling to get a return on their effort with video. They are putting videos out there but they just aren’t getting the reach, engagement or leads out of the effort. πŸ˜“

➑️ Here’s the most common reason why – context. They are creating videos for the sake of creating videos. They have ‘weekly video’ on their to-do list and they are checking it off. I’m not saying they’re phoning it in or that their videos are bad. What I’m saying is, their videos have no game.

A video that is created out of a strategy has no game. There, I said it. 🀯

You want your videos to be aligned with your brand and purpose, you want them to resonate with your ideal customer, you want the message to be dialed in and consistent… and you want to be releasing them in the right place (in the right format) with consistency. βœ…

Ahem… that means you need to have clarity around what you’re doing with your video marketing. You need a video plan. You need a video marketing strategy. πŸ“Œ

πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ If you don’t have that… then yes, you’re publishing videos, but you’re not video marketing. And, you won’t be building a relationship with your ideal customer either.

And, isn’t that the point of all of your video efforts? πŸ’

If you’re in that camp of creating videos but not seeing results, we should talk. In 30-minutes, I can learn enough about your business and video plan to be able to tell you the exact steps you need to follow to make your video efforts pay off. And, I’ll do it for free. 😲
